Tamraght is a small Berber fishing village located on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean approximately 14 km north of Agadir, 40 minutes north of Agadir airport and 3 kilometers from the better known village of Taghazout.
This traditional fishing community has grown over the years and become popular with surfers, backpackers and yogi’s not to mention Europeans looking for a second home in the sun.

How to get to the surf camp?
Agadir is served by direct flights (2-3 hours) from the main major European airports. On arrival, transport will be waiting for you at Agadir airport, it is a 45 minute drive southeast along the coastal road.
You also have the option of taking a taxi from the airport to the surf camp or taking a bus from Agadir to Tamraght, we will pick you up if necessary.
Buses as well as shared taxis run frequently from Agadir, Aourir, Tamraght then to Taghazout. The bus from Agadir costs 7dhs and the collective taxi 10dhs.
Coming from Marrakech, the only direct connection to Tamraght is a shuttle run by Souk to Surf. The journeys last approximately 4 hours and take place in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles. There are several pickup points in Marrakech (including the medina and the airport). The price is 20€ per person.
The same company also leaves from Essaouira. This trip lasts 3 hours and costs €15 and Imsouane for €10
This direct transfer is secure, modern and operates with comfortable minibuses. A little more expensive than a regular bus, but faster and much more convenient. Free water and WiFi on board. Luggage including surfboards carried free of charge. Friendly drivers who speak good English.

Get around in tamraght
Around Surf Camp you will easily find two pharmacies, one next to the Babakoul cafe and one up the hill next to the Sahel Mosque. Also, you will find many local bakers, chicken coops and many mini markets selling staples, fruits and vegetables. Most of the barbers who do a good cut and shave for around 25 dirhams for a short cut, are located up the hill next to the Sahel Mosque.
Tamraght Beaches
The beaches are excellent and the water is really clean. Renting a deckchair costs 20dhs per day. You can choose different sandy beach spots where you can relax, swim and surf safely in Tamraght. Directly on the beach there are a few kiosks selling drinks and snacks, seafood and tagine restaurants. Camel rides and horseback riding are also offered,
There are 4 surf spots in tamraght
- Banana yet another quality right-handed point break, but much more forgiving than points further north. It is therefore ideal for intermediate surfers and for those who want to surf a point break for the first time. With a big swell it can also offer challenging sections for advanced surfers.
- Spider, its fast, hollow tip reef break, produces a ripping and shredding A-frame barrel for advanced surfers only.
- Devils Rock is another breaking point on a sandy bottom, this wave offers a variety of sections and conditions for all levels of surfers and can also be tackled by beginners.
- Crocro, the first surf spot accessible on foot from the village, Croco is one of the most regular waves in the region. This beach break is a great place to learn to surf in Tamraght.
To go to eat!
There are restaurants and cafes serving local Moroccan dishes as well as international cuisine. The prices are low, the food is fresh and the atmosphere is great. Near the beach, there are a few restaurants specializing in fish and tagines.
Brahims at Devil’s Rock serves excellent seafood and is a popular restaurant with locals, especially on weekends. Sanabil Restaurant with super delicious traditional food at good prices.
